The reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the death of a Quarter Horse in South Carolina has grown to $3,000, said Monte Beasley, owner of Circle B Farm in Anderson County.
The horse was discovered dead in its pasture with a single small wound to its head in August. A necropsy revealed that a captive-bolt pistol or similar instrument was used to kill the animal.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident, but there are no leads in the case, Beasley said.
