Will the Filly Beat the Boys in Today's Preakness?

Call them old-fashioned, but Rachel Alexandra's owners only wanted the 3-year-old Thoroughbred filly to run against fillies before she trounced the field in the Kentucky Oaks. A 50-1 longshot gelding named Mine That Bird won the Kentucky Derby the following day.

Rachel Alexandra then had an ownership change, and her new owners have no qualms about letting a classy filly strut her stuff against the boys. In fact, the public is thrilled and has made the amazing filly the favorite for today's Preakness Stakes at Pimlico race course in Baltimore, Md.

The Preakness coverage on NBC starts at 5 PM ET today with post time approx. 6:05 p.m.
