The Equestrian Land Conservation Resource, a national organization focused on saving land for equestrian activities, this week announced the launch of its newly designed Web site, www.elcr.org.

“The new ELCR web site is packed with information on land, trails and activities for equestrians and conservationists,” said Georgiana Hubbard McCabe, ELCR’s president. The site includes a section on ELCR’s Equestrian Partners program, which brings together a wide variety of sport, breed, regulatory, and industry groups in a national network that enables horse people to speak with a more powerful, unified voice on land conservation and access issues.

The Calendar of Events and Information by State sections provide information on land trusts, recreational use statutes, and equine liability issues, as well as upcoming land and trail events.

The newly designed Web site includes a wealth of resources for those interested in preserving land for equestrians, working with conservation organizations, writing horse-friendly easements, or understanding equestrian land use liability. Industry publications are available for on-line purchase, and free information is available through the “Frequently Asked Questions” section
