Dressage Rider Suspended

Paulo Margi, an Italian national equestrian champion who rode for Italy in the 1992 and 1996 Olympics, has been suspended due to the death of a horse he was training. The five-year-old horse, which died in its stall, was exhumed on Margi's property after apparently being beaten to death. The Italian Equestrian Federation has suspended Margi, and will proceed with their own investigation.
