Owner of Miniature Horses Found in North Carolina Sought

Law enforcement authorities are hoping the public can help them find the owner of a pair of Miniature Horses found wandering in Rockingham County, N.C.

Rockingham County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Deputy Kevin Suthard said that on Jan. 3, the owner of a Reidsville, N.C. horse farm reported finding two Miniature Horses in a pasture on his farm.

“We are unsure whether the owner dropped the horses off because he or she could not take care of them or if the horses wandered onto the farm by themselves.” Suthard said.

The owners of the Reidsville farm are currently looking after the animals, Suthard said.

Suthard said anyone with information about the Miniature Horses or their owner should call Rockingham County Animal Control at 336/634-3300.
