The American Farrier’s Association (AFA) has announced the lineup of events for its 44th Annual Convention, which will take place Feb. 24-27, 2015 in Overland Park/Kansas City, Kansas.

The speaker roster features some of the top farriers in the country, several noted veterinarians, and Matt Randles, DWCF, as the Jim Linzy Fund lecturer. Randles is a 2-time reserve world champion farrier and brings a wealth of knowledge from England.

Other highlights will include the popular hands-on stations, wet labs, and networking tables where attendees can get up-close and personal with guest lecturers, farriers, and blacksmiths in small and inviting settings.

Another perennial favorite, the AFA National Forging and Horseshoeing Competition, will feature many of the top competitors in the farrier industry and will also determine the new American farrier’s team for 2015. A highly anticipated demonstration by the 2014 American farrier’s team, whose members recently earned a coveted third place finish in the hotly contested International Team Horseshoeing Championships in Stoneleigh, England, is also on tap during the week
