KAEP Annual Meeting

The Kentucky Association of Equine Practitioners (KAEP) held its annual membership meeting Feb. 18 in Lexington, Ky. The organization was established in 1979 as a constituency of the Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association. It has grown from a handful of equine veterinarians to over 160 members and has been active all aspects of equine health and welfare in the commonwealth.

Outgoing president, Richard Holder, DVM, introduced the 2004 officers and board of directors. They are: Jim Morehead, DVM, President, Debbie Spike-Pierce, DVM, Vice-President, Genevieve Fontaine-Rodgerson, DVM, MS, Dipl. ACVIM, Secretary-Treasurer. Elected to the Board of Directors were Linda Robbins, DVM, Fred Sprinkle, DVM, and Jeff Pumphrey, DVM. They will join Alan Dorton, DVM, Neil Williams, DVM, PhD, and Roger Augenstein, DVM, already on the board
