This Christmas give the animal lovers on your list a unique, heartwarming gift in the form of a cosponsorship of an animal health research study directed by Morris Animal Foundation (MAF), the world’s leading private foundation dedicated to research to protect, treat, and cure animals. Pick your favorite animal: dog, cat, horse, llama/alpaca, or many forms of wildlife–elephants, lions, wolves, fish, birds– and MAF has a health study for you and a way to directly help an animal. See the selection of studies and all the details on the MAF Web site at: www.MorrisAnimalFoundation.org, e-mail Tobie McPhail at tmcphail@MorrisAnimalFoundation.org, or call 800/243.2345.

Cosponsors receive regular updates on the progress of the research. Minimum cosponsorship of a study is $3,000, and in many cases, family members, friends, and associates all chip in to fund this very special and meaningful gift for an animal lover. In some cases family members and others make the Christmas gift in memory or in honor of a beloved pet. It is not uncommon for animal lovers to receive or give a gift representing full sponsorship of a single study, typically ranging from $10,000 to $80,000.

Morris Animal Foundation, established in 1948, is dedicated to funding research that protects, treats, and cures companion animals and wildlife. MAF has been at the forefront of funding breakthrough research studies in some 100 countries spanning all seven continents on earth. MAF has its headquarters in Denver, Colo. The Foundation has funded more than 1,300 humane animal health studies with funds approaching $50 million. One hundred percent of all annual, unrestricted contributions support animal health studies, not administration or the cost of fund raising.
