At the September meeting, the Equestrian Trails Inc. (ETI) board of directors voted to make a contribution to Hurricane Katrina’s equine victims hoping to raise $25,000. The board voted unanimously to contribute up to $5,000 in matching funds for any contribution by individual ETI members, friends, Corrals (regions), or feed/tack stores.

The group is also planning a Trail Trials on Nov. 6 at Vasquez Rocks Park in California, where all proceeds will go to the Hurricane’s equine victims.

In order for a donation to be tax deductible, please make checks payable to ETI Foundation and write Hurricane Katrina on the memo line. Corral 20 has already pledged $1,000; East Valley Feed has matched their donation.

Equestrian Trails was established as a nonprofit corporation in 1944 with the charter to be: “Dedicated to the Acquisition and Preservation of Trails, Good Horsemanship, and Equine Legislation.” The group is a family oriented riding club based in Sylmar, Calif
