Hagyard Equine Medical Institute will once again offer an extensive three-day training course on August 8-10, 2005, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky. This training is designed to educate first responders such as firefighters, police and other rescue personnel, veterinarians and individual horse owners. Drs. Rebecca and Tomas Gimenez will instruct and provide hands-on training of rescue and transport of a recumbent horse, containment of large animals, mud and water rescue, trailer accidents, and night search and rescue. The cost of this course is $295.00 including lunch for the three days. Limited space is available, and registration is required.
