This week, bloodhorse.com’s “Talkin’ Horses” is featuring special guests to mark the remaining days leading up to Saturday’s Breeders’ Cup World Championships. The chat can be found online at www.bloodhorse.com/talkinhorses. The remaining guests for the week include Jon White and Mike Battaglia, who will take your questions regarding the biggest day in all of sports.

Questions for these engaging and entertaining guests can be submitted in advance now or during each of respective live online discussions by visiting www.bloodhorse.com/talkinhorses. The same site will also carry each of the daily bloodhorse.com “Talkin’ Horses” web casts live.
Legendary Southern California race caller Trevor Denman, and well-known handicapper Steve Moody were featured earlier in the week.
The remaining guests include:

Wednesday, November 1, 2006 @ Noon (ET/ 9 a.m. PT)
Jon White
A simulcast commentator from the paddock at Santa Anita and Oak Tree and a host for HRTV since its inception, Jon White has been involved in racing since 1974. A 25-year career with the Daily Racing Form took him to tracks from coast to coast as a reporter, columnist, handicapper and chart-caller. White has also been involved in racing as a track official, media relations manager, and licensed Thoroughbred owner. As a writer, White’s work has appeared in numerous publications, including The Blood-Horse, Louisville Courier-Journal, New Orleans Times-Picayune, California Thoroughbred, Washington Thoroughbred, Canadian Horse and Paddock magazine.

Thursday, November 2, 2006 | 11 a.m. – Noon (ET/ 8 a.m. PT)
Mike Battaglia
Breeders’ Cup 23 represents the “local boy makes good and comes home” theme for America’s Odds-maker Mike Battaglia as the Edgewood, Ky. resident sets the morning line for this year’s eight-race extravaganza. Battaglia–a fixture on the Kentucky racing circuit for over 25 years and nationally-known from his years as on-air talent for the Breeders’ Cup telecasts on NBC–was formerly track announcer at Churchill Downs and called 19 consecutive runnings of the Kentucky Derby, starting with the Affirmed-Alydar rivalry in 1978. Currently, Mike serves as handicapper and race caller at Turfway Park, as well as the host of the “Churchill Downs Racing Review” and will take your questions about this year’s Breeders’ Cup the day after the post position draw and setting of the morning line.

Racing enthusiasts are invited to join in the discussions or simply enjoy and monitor the informative “Q&A” sessions as they occur by visiting www.bloodhorse.com/talkinhorses each day. Each edition of bloodhorse.com “Talkin’ Horses” is also archived and available 24/7 for later reading
