The University of Queensland has set up a Memorial Fund in honor of Alister Rodgers, BVSc, who died of zoonotic Hendra virus earlier this month. He contracted the virus while treating a sick foal.
At the request of Rodgers’ family, the Alister Rodgers Memorial Hendra Virus Research Assistance Fund has been set up by the University of Queensland. The purpose of the fund is to raise money to contribute to Hendra research. Donations to the Memorial Fund can be made by contacting the University Advancement Office at the University of Queensland on 07 3346 3900 or through the University of Queensland Web site.
To complete the online form you will need to hit “Other,” and then type in the name of the fund–Alister Rodgers Memorial Hendra Virus Research Assistance Fund. Donations through University of Queensland are tax deductible
