It’s more than just a town. The new exhibit at the American Quarter Horse Heritage Center & Museum offers a world of opportunity to anyone interested in learning about horses.

A family-oriented, hands-on exhibit, “Horse Town” provides an entertaining, introductory learning experience about horses. The exhibit utilizes a whimsical “town” as the backdrop for the learning components.

Patrons can visit a farrier’s area to learn about grooming and hoof care, a tack shop to learn terms and uses of tack, a feed store for quick facts about proper nutrition, and to the veterinarian’s clinic, to visit with Ol’ Doc Jones as he provides fun horse facts and trivia.

And what town would be complete without a schoolhouse? Inside “Horse Town,” two computer stations with large-screen monitors feature the new Rising STAR CD, an interactive computer program enhancing general “horse sense” through fun games and trivia
