ZetrOZ, Inc, manufacturer of the UltrOZ Elite low intensity therapeutic ultrasound system, is pleased to announce that Danielle Stacy, a third-year veterinary student at Cornell University, has won its first annual essay contest for American Association of Equine Practitioners' student chapters and undergraduate equine programs.

Stacy, of Ipswich, Mass., will receive a $1,000 scholarship, the opportunity to have her work published, and a presentation at her school from by UltrOZ Equine Division Manager Brian Collins and consulting veterinarian Holly Schmitt, DVM.

Stacy is studying equine medicine at Cornell. Her essay, “Moving Towards a Clean Sport–The Role of Next Gen Therapies in Equine Sports Medicine,” focused on the role of low-intensity therapeutic ultrasound in equine sports medicine.

“I am so excited and honored to have received this award,” said Stacy. “My goal is to complete an internship at an equine practice following vet school, and eventually to pursue a career in equine sports medicine
