The health of livestock and the security of animal agriculture industries are vitally important issues in today’s world. The Fourth Biennial Foreign Animal Disease Training Course, will be held in Madison, Wisc., July 30-Aug. 4, by the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in collaboration with the USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. The course will bring together experts from around the world to present in-depth discussions of the recognition, diagnosis, and control of foreign animal diseases that threaten livestock in the United States and the rest of the Americas.

The meeting is designed for governmental regulatory and public health veterinarians responsible for rapid detection of foreign animal diseases, animal disease regulatory specialists from industry, academicians responsible for teaching foreign animal diseases at veterinary medical schools, practicing veterinarians, and anyone interested in animal industry biosecurity and foreign animal diseases.
