Alabama law enforcement authorities are hoping the public can help identify those responsible for shooting two horses in Morgan County.

Lieutenant Terry Kelly, of the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, said the office’s Livestock Unit personnel assisted in investigating a call from an owner in the Punkin Center community reporting that two of his horses had been shot the morning of March 20.

Both animals sustained severe injuries but are expected to recover, Kelly said.

Meanwhile, anyone with information about the incident should call Kelly at 256/560-6196
