The Unwanted Horse Coalition (UHC) has welcomed the Colorado Horse Rescue (CHR) and Days End Farm Horse Rescue as members of the Coalition. With the number of unwanted horses still at a discouraging level, the UHC feels it is important to have the opinions and perspectives of these two facilities.

The CHR is headed by Hildy Armour and the Days End Farm Horse Rescue is headed by Kathleen Schwartz Howe.

"Colorado Horse Rescue is honored to join forces with UHC's national effort addressing the escalating issue of unwanted horses," Armour said. "Here at CHR we believe the silver lining to this crisis is the horse industry working hard seeking both short and long-term solutions for unwanted horses in the United States."

Colorado Horse Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing emergency relief, shelter, care, rehabilitation, and adoption services for abused, neglected, abandoned, and unwanted horses. The group provides community resources through equine education, counseling, information and referral services. They are funded through private and individual donations, grants, bequests, and corporate sponsorships
