August KENA Meeting to Focus on Horse Buying

The Kentucky Horse Council (KHC) has announced the topic for the August Kentucky Equine Networking Association (KENA) meeting. The Aug. 16 panel discussion, "Buyer Be Aware," will feature Woodrow Friend, DVM; Melissa Moore; and Laura D’Angelo. They will discuss what considerations a buyer should have when purchasing a horse.

The Kentucky Equine Networking Association meetings are a dinner and educational series open to equine professionals and horse owners and will feature a networking reception from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner with the main speakers from 6 to 8 p.m. The dinner will be held at the Fasig-Tipton dining room, in Lexington.

Focused on the Kentucky Thoroughbred, sport, and pleasure horse community, KENA is charged with providing an educational and social venue for equine professionals and horse enthusiasts from all disciplines. Organized by the Kentucky Horse Council and supported by the University of Kentucky Ag Equine Program, KENA provides the opportunity for attendees to share ideas, business strategies, and knowledge, and obtain up-to-date information on horse and farm management.
