A South Carolina woman is facing multiple charges after she spooked a team of carriage horses and injured their driver in Charleston.

Charleston Police Department Public Information Officer Charles Francis said a pedestrian wearing a dinosaur costume was walking on a sidewalk on May 18 just ahead of a horse-drawn carriage owned by the Palmetto Carriage Company. The person stopped, stepped off the sidewalk, and began growling at the team of horses pulling the carriage, Francis said.

“The horses spooked and began backing up,” he said.

Francis said the driver lost his balance and fell off the carriage before a wheel rolled over one of his legs. He was transported to a nearby hospital and treated for a fractured foot
