TIP Website Upgrade Enhances Performance Award Applications

A recent enhancement to The Jockey Club’s Thoroughbred Incentive Program (TIP) website enables additional riders to be added to a horse’s TIP number, as long as the horse has the same owner. The new upgrades also enable owners and riders to submit their performance award applications through their respective TIP accounts.

“While the redesigned website enables you to add riders to a horse’s TIP number, TIP numbers are still not transferable, so new owners should apply for a new number for their horse under their own account,” said Kristin Leshney, legal associate for The Jockey Club and TIP coordinator.

Leshney also noted that the website redesign has made the performance award application process quicker and more efficient.

“In the past, owners and riders had to use printable forms to apply for performance awards,” she added. “Now, they can submit those applications online using their respective TIP accounts on our website
