If it's too hot, we don't ride. The stall fans are on, they come & go from the pasture.

I ride early am or pm, rinse horses with cool water, & plenty of drinking water available

I just don't ride if the heat is extreme..90 degrees or higher.

Soak horse before riding if the environment allows for evaporation.

We ride earlier in the morning and go to parks that have shaded trails and staging areas.

in extreme heat my riding is in the form of swimming in the creek, where we both stay cool.

I take a long time to cool out after a ride, then give my horse a good shower with cold water.
