If you do not vaccinate your horse for rabies, why do you choose not to?

I have know several horses that had severe allergic reactions to Rabies vaccine.

My vet says we only have rabies in bats here is Idaho so horses aren't exposed.

I just dont feel that it is as "needed" as other vaccines. 39 years of horses, not one rabies case!
