"Fore" The Love Of A Horse

Play golf and help a local horse rescue provide equines with a second chance for a new beginning As part of its ongoing fundraising efforts, For the Love of a Horse, Inc. is hosting the 2nd annual golf tournament at the Trophy Club Of Atlanta in Alpharetta on Friday, June 7th, 2013. All proceeds will benefit For the Love of a Horse, Inc, a Roswell-based 501(c)(3) non-profit. The 18-hole golf classic will include a 4 person team scramble format with prizes, gift bags, hole-in-one contests, longest drive contest, and boxed lunch. An awards reception, silent auction, and raffle will take place after the tournament. Details of the event can be found on their website: www.fortheloveofahorse.org . The event is open to the public and those wishing to participate can visit the website to register. Registration opened this week, with “Early Bird” player registration specials available through April 30th. A number of sponsorship packages are also available. About For the Love of a Horse, Inc For The Love of a Horse, Inc. is a local Roswell charity dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of equines, specifically those with critical-care medical needs who would otherwise be euthanized. Their charter is to give these equines a second chance at a new beginning. For the Love of a Horse established a Community Outreach Program, “Horses Healing Humans”. This program, leads the way in helping horses and the community by educating and engaging the public on a variety of topics related to equine care, rehabilitation, respect and humane treatment of all animals. The program has had a profound effect on the future of equines, elderly, children and individuals whose lives are touched through their visits with their miniature donkey and horse to nursing homes, children’s hospitals and veteran’s hospitals. Facilitating this hands-on interaction between horse and human creates a supportive community for both horse and human to heal.
