DON'T BE A NEEDLESS VICTIM. BE PREPARED WITH EQUIMAX!
More than 50% of horses sampled in the U.S. have been infected with tapeworms*, which can cause life-threatening incidents of colic that are not detected until it is too late. Don't take chances. Use Equimax. It's the only combination dewormer approved by the FDA to safely and effectively treat foals (four weeks and older), pregnant and lactating mares, and breeding stallions, all in a single dose. No wonder Equimax has become the global standard of care.

ARENA DUST AND HUMAN HEALTH Respiratory health in horses is often a concern, and we work tirelessly to control dust in our horses' working and living environments. Ironically, we give little regard to our own respiratory health in and around the barn.

AAEP ASK THE VET: WHICH FOOT TO PAD?
Q. I just read your June "Ask the Vet" article about muscle toning and development (www.TheHorse.com/ViewArticle.aspx?ID=2775). It describes my horse exactly! Her left shoulder is more developed, and the right shoulder is farther forward and flat. Her left foot has a low heel and the right is slightly clubbed. Because of this, she has a hard time moving to the right, especially on 20-meter and smaller circles.
My problem is deciding in which front shoe to place the pad. An article in another magazine said to pad the overdeveloped side, while my farrier says the newest research recommends lifting the right (underdeveloped) side. Help! A. Click here for the answer.
