Applications for AAEP Foundation Funding Due May 1

The American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) Foundation is accepting applications for funding from non-profit organizations and individuals that share its mission to support research, education, benevolence, and the equine community until May 1.

Applications will be reviewed by the AAEP Foundation Advisory Committee and board of directors at their July meeting. Priority emphasis will be given to applications that have the most impact on the health and welfare of the horse on a national and international scope or where emergency funding is needed. Funds will not be provided to "for-profit" individuals or groups. Funding requests for emergency or equine disaster relief support may be submitted to the Foundation at any time.

Application instructions, requirements, and selection criteria can be found on the Foundation's website at in the grants/scholarship section.

The AAEP Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, was created in 1994 as the charitable arm of the American Association of Equine Practitioners. The AAEP Foundation's mission is to improve the health and welfare of the horse through support of research, education, benevolence and the equine community. Since its inception, the AAEP Foundation has allocated more than $2.2 million to support its mission and help horses.
