When 2010 Horse of the Year Zenyatta produced a healthy foal by Bernardini, there was a sigh of relief at William S. Farish’s Lane’s End Farm near Versailles, Ky. Owned by Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Moss, the 8-year-old daughter of Street Cry has been a resident at Lane’s End since retiring from the racetrack following her 2010 campaign and her subsequent mating with Bernardini.

Managing such a high profile broodmare is no easy task, and those responsible for the care of Zenyatta discussed the mare’s pregnancy and delivery of the foal during a special edition of BloodHorse.com’s popular Talkin’ Horses podcast held on March 13.
