LSU Hosts 80th Annual Conference for Veterinarians and Vet Techs

The Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM) is hosting the 80th Annual Conference for Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians on May 7-8 at the LSU SVM in Baton Rouge, La. The focus of this year's conference is diagnostic imaging.

"The school has made significant investments in leading edge diagnostic imaging technologies in recent years, and we feel it appropriate that the use and value of these technologies in clinical veterinary medicine be the focus of this year's conference," said Dean Peter F. Haynes, DVM, Dipl. ACVS.

This year's Annual Conference includes 12 hours of lectures and four hours of labs. The featured speaker is David Biller, DVM, Dipl. ACVR, professor and section head of radiology at Kansas State University, who will speak on Saturday, May 7. On Sunday, there will be a round-table discussion with Biller and several members of the LSU SVM faculty. There is also a full day of lecture and labs for veterinary technicians, valuable members of the veterinary community.
