Law enforcement authorities in Guadalupe County, Texas are seeking those responsible for fatally shooting a registered Paint mare earlier this month.

Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Department Investigator Jerry Rios said the animal was discovered dead in its Seguin, Texas pasture on March 3. The mare, who was in foal at the time of the incident, had sustained eight gunshot wounds.

Guadalupe Country Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shooting.
