Keeneland buyers and consigners should note that the Kentucky Department of Agriculture has waived the requirement for equine piroplasmosis testing for horses entered in Keeneland's 2011 January horses of all ages sale.

If one purchases a racing prospect or a horse of racing age and plans to immediately ship to any Kentucky race track after the sale, however, he or she will be required to have a negative equine piroplasmosis test before entering that track.

Keeneland's 2011 January horses of all ages sale begins Jan.10 and continues through Jan.14. Sessions begin at 10 a.m. each day and will be streamed live at www.Keeneland.com.
