The 2011 Charles Heumphreus Memorial Lecture will take place on Jan. 29, 2011, at the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine.

The event takes place in Room 170 of Schalm Lecture Hall, located in the Health Sciences District of the UC Davis campus.

Lectures take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and glue-on shoe and in-shoe force plate demonstrations occur from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The public is welcome, and there is no charge to attend the lecture; however, donations are gratefully accepted. The afternoon demonstration is limited to 40 attendees and is on a first come, first served basis.

Lecture information is available online.

The Charles Heumphreus Memorial Lecture honors the memory of Charles Heumphreus, the School of Veterinary Medicine's farrier from 1967 to 1985. The annual lecture addresses lameness of the horse, with special emphasis on foot disorders.
