WEG: Major Build-Out Progress at the Kentucky Horse Park

With many of the summer horse shows wrapping up this month at the Kentucky Horse Park, build-out crews for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games have been ramping up their progress.

Temporary seating Stand A at the Outdoor Stadium has been built, and workers are now assembling railing and seat backs before they begin Stand B, the largest stand that will be located across from the permanent grandstand of the Outdoor Stadium.

Across Nina Bonnie Rd., from the Outdoor Stadium, temporary structures are being built as quickly as possible. The Media Center and Hospitality structure are both nearing completion externally and other structures, including tents for national federations and sponsors, are taking form.

The Driving Stadium is beginning to look like a stadium now at the end of Nina Bonnie Rd., with the three temporary seating stands nearing completion. Four stands will surround three sides of the Stadium, which will be used for the Dressage and Cones phases of the Driving competition.

On the other side of the Park near the Visitor Center, structures for the Kentucky Experience are being built. The Kentucky Experience will included a welcome center, a product pavilion and an exhibit pavilion, all designed to showcase the sights, tastes and sounds of the state. The Alltech Experience and the Trade Show will also be located near the Kentucky Experience, and will provide a variety of activities and entertainment.
