Second WEG 2010 Community Forum Planned

Lexington-area residents who want to learn more about the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games will have a chance to get their questions answered at a second community forum.

Held by the World Games 2010 Foundation in partnership with the Lexington Public Library and Business Lexington, the forum topics will include a general update and a focus on the 2010 Games and the economy. The meeting will take place Feb. 25, from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Central Library Theater, 140 East Main Street.

Business Lexington editor Tom Martin will moderate a brief on-stage interview with 2010 Games panel members, including CEO Jamie Link, Vice President of Sales Terry Johnson, and Housing Bureau Partner Krista Greathouse of Short's Travel.

Suggested topics for discussion and questions can be e-mailed to the Foundation at

The World Equestrian Games are the world championships of eight equestrian disciplines recognized by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI), and are held every four years. The Games have never before been held outside of Europe; nor have all eight disciplines competed at a single site--both firsts that will be achieved at the Kentucky Horse Park. The event will run Sept. 25-Oct. 10, 2010. For more information see
