NBC to Rebroadcast Rolex Event

NBC has announced that it will re-air its coverage of the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event in its entirety on Saturday, May 24 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. EDT. The initial airing of the program on May 4 had to be shortened when the National Hockey League playoff game that preceded it went into overtime and ran long.

Jon Miller, executive vice president of NBC Sports, who has shepherded the "Rolex" program since its first airing in 2004, made the announcement.

"NBC has been a wonderful supporter of equestrian sports and our event and we are most appreciative of their consideration," said Jane Atkinson, executive vice president of Equestrian Events Inc., which produces the event. "To have a second broadcast in prime time is an opportunity we don't often get and we hope it will allow even more people to see how exciting our sport can be."
