The Bureau of Land Management will reopen its National Wild Horse and Burro center north of Reno, Nev., on Nov. 13, the agency said Thursday.
The center in Palomino Valley was voluntarily closed to the public on Sept. 26 as a precaution after Salmonella was discovered in some wild horses that had been gathered from the Jackson Mountains herd area this summer.
