Four jockeys, a trainer, a former owner and six others were charged with various corruption offenses yesterday by British horse racing’s governing body.



The allegations center on 40 races run between September 2004 and March 2005, the Horseracing Regulatory Authority said.


Facing charges are jockeys Shane Kelly, Josh Byrne, David Nolan, and Fran Ferris, trainer Phil McEntee, banned former owner Ajaz Khan and six others not under racing’s jurisdiction.


Charges include providing inside information for financial reward, aiding and abetting a corrupt practice, and misleading investigators
