Fla. Donkey Draggers Going to Jail

Two Escambia County, Fla., men accused of dragging a donkey behind their pickup will be going to jail. Matthew Ramsey and Terry Skinner were sentenced yesterday to nearly a year in jail and placed on two years' probation.

They will also have to pay a five-thousand dollar fine and almost 400 dollars in court costs. They could've received up to five years in prison for the third-degree felony animal cruelty charge.

They were arrested in March for allegedly dragging a donkey more than 75 feet. They told police the animal refused to get in the pickup.

A family has adopted the donkey.
