Michigan Barn Fire Kills 18 Horses
A suspicious fire at a St. Clair County, Mich., barn in Clyde Township has left 18 horses dead and might be linked to a series of other fires that have been set in the area in recent weeks, authorities said.

A suspicious fire at a St. Clair County, Mich., barn in Clyde Township has left 18 horses dead and might be linked to a series of other fires that have been set in the area in recent weeks, authorities said.
The fire at the Classic Quarter Horses farm was one of six fires reported Saturday morning (Sept. 9) in the area, the Times Herald of Port Huron reported. Firefighters also received calls about fires in a vehicle, garbage can, shed, and on porches.
St. Clair County sheriff’s Lt. Tim Donnellon described Saturday’s fires as suspicious. He said they could be related to the other suspicious fires set recently in Wales, Kenockee, and Kimball townships.
