Already the leader in private funding of research to protect, treat, and cure companion animals and wildlife, Morris Animal Foundation (MAF) will raise the bar yet again in 2007 with new initiatives in canine and equine health. This year’s Holiday Gift Card, back by popular demand, invites animal lovers to share in the mission to improve animal health this holiday season.

“So many people aren’t interested in receiving material gifts,” says Dr. Patricia N. Olson, president/CEO. “The 2006 Holiday Gift Cards are a beautiful way for MAF supporters to help us achieve our goals while also giving a unique gift to friends, family, veterinary professionals and others who care about keeping the world’s animals healthy.”

Proceeds from Holiday Gift Cards will benefit the Morris Animal Foundation.

This year’s exclusive card, designed by Colorado artist Cathy Lester, features an elegant watercolor of an elephant, horse, dog, and cat (the Foundation’s logo animals) raising the bar for animal health. With a tax-deductible gift of $10 or more per card, the Foundation will send a personalized Holiday Gift Card to each honoree.

Like all gifts to the Foundation, every dollar of the donation for each card is applied directly toward studies that improve animal health. To make a Holiday Gift Card donation, call toll-free 800/243-2345 or make a secure online gift at www.MorrisAnimalFoundation.org

The Morris Animal Foundation, established in 1948,  has funded more than 1,250 humane animal health studies with funds exceeding $42 million. One hundred percent of all annual, unrestricted contributions support animal health studies, not administration or fund-raising costs
