According to the California Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory System, Western Equine Encephalitis has been diagnosed in a 4-month-old Thoroughbred horse originating from Mercer County, Calif., with neurologic signs and nonsuppurative encephalitis. An HI titer of >1:1280 and a SVN titer >1:100 was found
