Knox Awarded AAEP/Pony Club Scholarship

Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine student Peter Knox was awarded the 1997 American Association of Equine Practitioners/United States Pony Club (USPC) scholarship awarded to a veterinary student who has been, or is currently, a member of the USPC.

Knox, of Pocatello, Idaho, received his Bachelor of Science in biology from CSU in 1995 and has a long history of equine experience. He has completed preceptorships at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Ky., Woodford Equine Veterinary Hospital in Versailles, Ky., and Chino Valley Equine Hospital in Chino, Calif. Knox has also worked as a veterinary anesthetist in CSU's Veterinary Teaching Hospital and was an orthopedic research assistant to Dr.Simon Turner.

As a member of the USPC, Knox achieved an "A" rating in 1982 and was a member of the International Tetrathlon Exchange Team and a National Championships competitor in tetrathlon and show jumping. He continues to serve as a volunteer.
