Green Selected As A Distinguished Practitioner

Eleanor Green, DVM, professor and chair of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine's Department of Large Animal Sciences, and a member of The Horse's Editorial Advisory Board, has been selected as a distinguished practitioner in the National Academy of Practice in Veterinary Medicine (NAP).

The NAP, which consists of nine areas of health care including dentistry, medicine, nursing, optometry, osteopathic medicine, podiatric medicine, psychology, social work, and veterinary medicine, was created to advise Congress and was expanded to include the general public in matter of health care delivery.

Green, an equine practitioner board certified by both the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, joined the college's administration in 1996.
