UF Faculty Member Receives Achievement Award

Eleanor Myers Green, Dipl. ACVIM, Dipl. ABVP, chair of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine's department of large animal clinical sciences, has received the American Association of Veterinary Clinicians' (AAVC) 1999 Faculty Achievement Award.

The award is presented each year to a member who has made outstanding contributions to the profession of veterinary medicine in general, and to the AAVC specifically.

Green, who is also chief of staff of UF's Alec P. and Louise H. Courtelis Equine Teaching Hospital, served as president of the AAVC from 1996-97.

The award was presented to Green at the AAVC's annual meeting in June, held in conjunction with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine's yearly meeting in Chicago.

The AAVC is an association of veterinarians who are involved in teaching veterinary medicine to students, residents, and interns at the academic level.
