Seniors will be admitted free to the HITS Desert Horse Park in Indio, California on March 5 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm for the Fourth Annual Seniors Day festivities. Sponsored by Heritage Palms, KESQ TV3, and the Fabulous Palm Springs Follies, Seniors Day is a special celebration at the Indio Desert Circuit and an opportunity for seniors and their families to experience a day at this six-week hunter/jumper horse show featuring world-class competition.

Seniors will be greeted at the gate by KESQ-TV3 on-air personalities broadcasting live from the horse show grounds. As special guests, seniors are invited to sit in the shaded Heritage Palms Pavilion overlooking the gem of the show grounds-the Grand Prix show ring where the $10,000 Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic will be held starting at 8:00 am.

Located near the pavilion will be more than a dozen special displays-custom golf carts courtesy of Electric Car Distributors, free or low-cost Health Checks courtesy of John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, crime prevention by the Riverside County Sheriff’s CARE unit for seniors, and a crafts tent coordinated by the Delta Foundation. Grandparents can bring their younger guests to the crafts tent where they can complete craft projects and learn about the Delta Foundation’s work with the handicapped.

Electric Car Distributors and Heritage Palms will provide complimentary golf cart transportation for seniors to tour the 80-acre show grounds which includes ten hunter/jumper rings, stabling for 3,000 horses, three food service facilities, and the Desert Marketplace vendor area. More than two dozen shops on “vendor row” offer quality equestrian gear, apparel, jewelry, monogramming and horse-related gift and souvenir items, including the HITS Indio Desert Circuit souvenir shop
