AHSA Brings Performance Horse Registry to Kentucky Office

The Performance Horse Registry office opened for business at its new home with the American Horse Shows Association on Sept. 15. Prior to the move, the Jockey Club was providing support services to the PHR through the transition period.

“We are grateful to the Jockey Club for their help in facilitating this almost seamless move,” said AHSA President, Alan F. Balch. “The AHSA staff would also like to express their appreciation to Jennifer Goebel, former PHR Coordinator, for her invaluable assistance.”

Other than a new address, it is business as usual for the PHR. There will be no change in fees or procedures for the remainder of this year, and the Silver Stirrup Awards program will remain unchanged.

The AHSA will be hosting a one-day workshop for the registries with PHR contracts on September 29. The workshop will focus on the features of AHSA’s developing American Horse Sports Database and its impact on the PHR. A general open house is scheduled mid-October and the public will be invited to tour the AHSA headquarters and to meet the Information Resources staff
