The first National Exposition on Equine Transportation (NEET) will be held March 9-11 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky. NEET, sponsored by the Kentucky Horse Council, will feature seminars, demonstrations, and exhibits promoting safe equine travel. There also will be an indoor and outdoor trade show feature all the latest in equine trailers and accessories. Speakers include nationally recognized equine behaviorist/trainer Clinton Anderson, and information from the transportation studies prior to and during the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Other topics include choosing a trailer, choosing a towing vehicle, disaster preparedness, loading horses, and proper hitching, plus multiple demonstrations. An amateur driver's clinic will be available to match horse owners one-on-one with professional equine shippers for a lesson in hauling your horse. A NEET trail class also will be available for those who want to bring their horses.
