Duke, a gray Percheron/Thoroughbred cross police horse in the Lancaster, Pa., mounted unit, was rushed to the University of Pennsylvania's New Bolton Center on Dec. 16 for emergency colic surgery. Duke is expected to make a full recovery and return to duty in about three months. ...
