Manna Pro Announces New Partnership with NARHA to Support Equine-Assisted Therapies

November 07 2009, Article # 15236

This holiday season horse owners can help equestrians and horse lovers with disabilities each time they purchase bags of Manna Pro horse treats at retailers across the U.S and Canada. In this new partnership, a portion of the proceeds from Manna Pro Horse Treats will go directly to NARHA, whose centers provide equine-assisted activities and therapies to children and adults with special needs.

In addition to a percentage of sales going to NARHA in the form of a cash donation, Manna Pro is also giving free treats to NARHA centers to use in their programs throughout the year. During the Seasons Treatings promotion period, consumers can go to www.mannapro.com to cast votes for one of NARHA's 11 regions. For every five votes a region receives, Manna Pro will donate one free bag of treats. Each participating consumer will also receive high-value coupons from Manna Pro when they register online.

To support its retailers, Manna Pro has created a retail campaign to help stores encourage sales of its horse treats and raise funds for a worthy cause. Manna Pro developed numerous point-of-sale promotional materials to help retailers get the word out, including special stickers on packaging, shelf talkers with $1 off coupons, and window clings for stores. Manna Pro is also supporting the partnership with a series of print advertisements, online advertising, e-mail blasts, and the interactive voting feature on the company's home page.

Headquartered in Denver, Colo., NARHA's mission is to "change and enrich lives by promoting excellence in equine-assisted activities." Since 1969 the NARHA has provided equine-assisted activity and therapy programs in the United States and Canada through its network of nearly 800 member centers. Each year, dozens of new centers initiate new programs and more than 42,000 individuals with special needs benefit from activities which include therapeutic riding, hippotherapy, equine-facilitated psychotherapy and learning, driving, interactive vaulting, and competition. The association ensures its standards are met through an accreditation process for centers and a certification process for instructors.

Jennifer Hojnacki, director of Marketing for Manna Pro, says the partnership with NARHA is just one more way the leading provider of equine treats and supplements can help make horses more accessible to everyone, even those with disabilities. "We are proud of our partnership with NARHA, and we believe strongly in its mission," she says. "We hope this promotion makes more people aware of the important work NARHA does for people with special needs. And we hope Manna Pro's donation of money and horse treats helps NARHA impact more lives with its equine-assisted activities."

The Manna Pro Horse Treats that qualify for the Seasons Treatings program include products such as Apple and Peppermint Wafers, Apple and Carrot Blasts, Flax Snax and Hoof Snax, Stable Gourmet Cookies, and Bite Size Nuggets.
