The Horse E-Newsletters FAQ

How do I subscribe to the e-newsletters?

Simply enter your email address in the e-newsletter signup box above right (it also shows up on any article) and check the box(es) for the newsletter(s) you'd like to receive. You can also sign up for our e-newsletters when you register with TheHorse.com; just make sure the box for your preferred newsletter(s) is checked at the bottom of the page.

If you are already registered with TheHorse.com but don't get an e-newsletter, and wish to, simply sign in to TheHorse.com and click the "My Profile" link in the upper right corner of any page. Then select "Manage my newsletter subscriptions" under My Info to subscribe/unsubscribe from any of our newsletters.

How do I unsubscribe?

We'll certainly miss you! You can unsubscribe by doing either of the following:

  • Sign in to TheHorse.com and click the "My Profile" link in the upper right corner of any page. Then select "Manage my newsletter subscriptions" under My Info to unsubscribe from any/all of our newsletters.
  • Click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom and/or top of any newsletter issue and confirm your request on the webpage.
Can I see what I'll be getting before I decide to subscribe?

Sure! See our archive of HTML e-newsletters here

How do I change the email address at which I receive e-newsletters?

Sign in to TheHorse.com and click the "My Profile" link in the upper right corner of any page. Then select "Change Email Address" under My Info and update your email address. This will change both the email address you use to log in to TheHorse.com and the email address for all of your TheHorse.com e-newsletter subscriptions.

The e-newsletter isn't displaying properly in my email program. Why?

Some email programs do not support HTML email. If the e-newsletter does not show up well, you should still see a link to the online version at the top of the e-newsletter, where you can read the HTML version online.

Some versions of Microsoft Outlook do not show images by default; if you would like to display them, right-click on any image and select "Download Pictures" from the menu that pops up.

I know of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with horses for adoption. How would I get them featured in the Horse Health E-Newsletter?

When we feature these horses, we encourage you to spread the word of their availability to your friends and colleagues. And if you know of any 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that adopts out horses and might want to have its horses featured, ask a representative to email us at newsletter@TheHorse.com, describing the organization, where it can be found on the Internet, and a suggestion about which horse to feature.

Please put "Adoptable horse" in the subject line so the emails can be easily spotted. We receive hundreds of messages a day, and it's easy for them to get lost in the stack.

I have a comment about the content of an e-newsletter. Whom do I contact?

Email questions or comments about our e-newsletter content to newsletter@TheHorse.com. Please do not send technical problems to this address; instead, please describe your problem here.

I have not unsubscribed from an e-newsletter, but I don't get it anymore. What happened?

If you are using an email spam-blocker, please make sure that our e-newsletter is not getting filtered out or removed from your email inbox. If your email server was having problems on the day we sent the newsletter, your email address might have gotten automatically deleted from our list as an invalid email address. In order to get the newsletter again, just sign up again using the signup form above. Allow up to a week to get your next issue of the e-newsletter.

It might also help to add newsletter-l@thehorse.com to your address book.

My question isn't answered here.
