Two Piroplasmosis Quarantines Remain in Florida

Florida agriculture officials have released two more properties from equine piroplasmosis quarantine, according to a statement released on the state Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (DOACS) Web site. Two properties remain under quarantine. The quarantined properties are in Polk and DeSoto Counties. They can be released from quarantine once all horses test negative and 60 days since last exposure have passed. As of the Dec. 2 release, ...
