Free Horse: Former KY Derby Nominee

He was purchased a little more than four years ago from a rescue in the Las Vegas area. He was nominated for the Kentucky Derby at one point. He has some old issues in his rear legs from his racing days, so it is hard for him to do intense arena type work. He loves to come out though, and gamely takes his teenage rider all around the ranch. I have always been amazed how much presence and self confidence he displays. He is not especially spooky, even with cars and trucks on the highway.
